Leveraging his knowledge of common and civil law jurisdictions, and his fluency in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, Orlando F. Cabrera C. counsels international arbitration clients seamlessly across borders and languages. Having studied law in Canada, Mexico and the United States, Orlando draws on his deep understanding of complex domestic and international disputes to effectively represent clients either in ICSID or ICC arbitrations in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Orlando also advises government and corporate clients on infrastructure projects and corporate investigations pertaining to telecommunications, energy, mining, construction, water, national security, transportation, and public contracts. Approaching each matter with profound intellectual curiosity, Orlando is a frequent writer and speaker on the topics of international arbitration, energy, infrastructure matters, among others. Prior to joining the Miami office of Hogan Lovells US LLP as a Foreign Law Clerk, Orlando served as a legal intern in the New York State Supreme Court. He also practiced law at two firms in Mexico.
